Camp Ilium Accommodations and Rental Information

Retreats - Camps - Conferences - Reunions

   A large stone lodge, formerly, the Ilium Power Company, contains a chapel and a combined dining and recreation hall.  It houses a fully equipped commercial kitchen, dishes, utensils, cold storage, pantry and dishwasher. Sleeping quarters for the kitchen staff are located upstairs over the kitchen.

   Four summer cabins, named for nearby mountains, San Miguel, Sunshine, Lizard Head and Last Dollar, provide sleeping accommodations and restrooms for up to 90 persons during the summer season (May through October).  Showers are available at a central location.

   Last Dollar is equipped for winter use.  It contains two dormitory rooms with restrooms, showers and 12 beds each.  Downstairs there is a common room, kitchen and wood stove.  The kitchen has a refrigerator, cook stove and microwave.  Game room has pool table, foosball table, TV and VCR.

   Renters need to bring their own sleeping bags or bedding, and food.

   A special use permit from the National Forest extends the 16 acre ground to provide settings suitable for hiking, mountain-biking, fishing, soccer, nature studies, etc.

There are many benefits that accompany renting at Camp Ilium
One benefit is that Camp Ilium has arranged with the Telluride Ski Resort, so that when you stay at Camp Ilium you can ski Telluride for 40% Off!  This is a great opportunity for a Family Reunion weekend!
For Winter retreats, Camp Ilium has a winterized, cabin named, "The Last Dollar," which sleeps 24 for less than $10 per person, per night.  This is ideal for youth group overnighters or weekend retreats of Spiritual renewal.

    The Last Dollar features:
        Two dormitory rooms with restrooms, showers and 12 beds each

Picture an opportunity to have a youth group retreat coupled with a great day of skiing!

An example might look something like this:
Friday evening: Arrive at Camp Ilium for supper together.  Afterward, maybe play games such as: Pictionary, Balderdash, Charades or have a sing-along.   Have cabin devotions and it's bedtime.
Saturday: Breakfast at Camp Ilium and go to the Telluride Ski area for the day.
Saturday Night: Supper at Camp Ilium, followed by games, movies, group time and devotions.
Sunday Morning: Breakfast and youth-style church service, followed by mission trip planning or church youth project.  Then, you could have a snowman building contest, an icy-river trail walk, some snow soccer, or frozen Frisbee throw.
Sunday noon: Lunch at Camp Ilium, pack up and leave for home.
